I used to write for a now-defunct online platform that highlighted lesser known local artists. What thrilled me about it was getting to interact with people who were passionate and confident about their craft. The artists I met showed me that art is a discipline that you had to have the courage to pursue over and over again.
This personal project follows this train of thought. To be completely honest, this project was born out of a desire for inspiration. I was in a rut and reached out to some artists who were kind enough to let me come by for a chat. I realised that the chance to connect with artists in an intimate space that few would see outside a gallery or exhibition was a way to glance behind the scenes at the creative process. From those first encounters in Fermoy, Ireland, this personal project was born.
